Up in the Morning – Navy Cadence

Up In the Morning – Navy Running Cadence

Up in the morning right be ‘fore the dawn

Roll out of bed and put my flightboots on

Eat my breakfast too darn soon

Hungry as a hound dog by noon

Went to the galley on my knees

“Navy Cook, Navy Cook feed me please!”

Mess Sergeant said witha big ol’grin

“If you wanna be a Sailor you gotta be thin”

Up in the morning at the break of day

Working so hard we never play

Running through the jungle where the sun don’t shine

All I do is double time

Is there a army song with words Up in the Morning out in the morning on with the day? My grandpa used to sing. He was in world war 2
