C-130 Army Cadence

C130 is one of those running cadences that has been adapted by all services and all units. While it was tough to decide which service this belonged to I decided to add it to the Army Category since the C-130 is a an Army Aircraft (Although the Coast Guard and Air Force have a few) and the Airborn is an Army unit.

If you would like to add additional stanzas of “C-130 rolling down the strip” Please drop it in the comments and I’d love to add your lines.

C130 Army Running Cadence

C-130 Rolling down the Strip ( Classic Army Marching Cadence)

C130 rollin down the strip

Airborn ranger Gonna take a little trip

Stand up, buckle up, Shuffle to the door

Jump right out and count to four

And if my chute don’t open wide

I have another one by my side

And if that chute don’t open round

I’ll be the first one on the ground.

If I die on the combat zone

Box me up and ship me home.

—-Other Endings——

If I die in the Spanish Moors / Bury me deep with a case of Coors

If I die in a firefight / Bury me deep with a case of Lite

If I die in a German Blitz / Bury me deep with a case of Schlitz

If I die don’t bring me back / Bury me with a case of Jack

If I die in the Korean mud / Bury me with a case of Bud

Bury speakers all around my head / So I can rock with the Grateful Dead

Bury speakers all around my toes / So I can rock with Axel Rose

    Other endings:

Pin them wings upon my chest,
Bury me in the leaning rest.

Tell my Momma I did my best,
Bury me in the leaning rest.

    C130 rollin down the strip
Airborne tanker gonna take a little trip
    Mission top secret, destination unknown
Don’t even know if we’re ever going home
Stand up, hook up, shuffle to the door
My knees got weak and I fell to the floor
Jump master picked me up with ease
And tossed my knees into the breeze
If my main don’t open wide
I’ve got a reserve by my side
If that one should fail me to
Look out below I’m coming through
If I die in that old drop zone
Box me up and ship me home
Pin my medals upon my chest
And tell my momma I done my best.

    Also

    C130 rollin down the strip
Hit a beer can and did a little flip
    64 rangers trapped inside
Burnt up, cut up, Kentucky fried
