You Get a Line and I’ll get a Pole

You get a line….

You get a line and I’ll get a pole
Honey, honey
You get a line and I’ll get a pole
Baby, baby
You get a line and I’ll get a pole
We’ll go down to the fishin’ hole

Refrain Honey, oh baby, be mine

ALL
Go to your left, your right, your left

ALL
Go to your left, your right, your left, hey!

ALL

I had a girl who lived on a creek
Honey, honey
I had a girl who lived on a creek
Baby, baby
I had a girl who lived on a creek
She was cute and she was sweet

I had a girl, looked good in blue
Honey, honey
I had a girl, looked good in blue
Baby, baby
I had a girl, looked good in blue
She could make a fool out of you

Just now I Googled “You get a line.” I had no idea it was an Army cadence. My father used to say it a lot when we were working on the family ranch. He was a Third Marine in the Pacific during WWII.

Looking for a cadence with these lines:

“Deep in the battlefield covered in blood
There’s an Airborne Ranger dying in the mud.”

Or something to that effect. Can you tell me the name of it or email it to me?
